Kichccha Sudeep's Kannada action thriller movie Mark is coming to the forefront not only because of its box-office success but also its forthcoming OTT release. The movie, which was released on Christmas Day, December 25, has gained considerable box-office attraction and is now prepared for digital streaming.
As per popular belief, Mark might be released on an OTT platform towards the end of January 2026, possibly around Republic Day weekend. The stakeholders involved in the film have reportedly secured digital and satellite rights, and this has raised the question of the streaming service that will showcase the film.
In contrast to the speculation, Sudeep’s last two films were hosted by Zee5 and Amazon Prime Video, while Mark will not be streamed on these platforms. According to sources, JioHotstar has managed to get the OTT rights which would make it the sole digital place for the film.
If this turns out to be true, then Mark would be the second Kannada film to go straight to OTT. The first film was the comedy Su From So which received a good audience reception on its online debut and thus set a standard for the regional films on the digital platforms.
Mark sees Sudeep study the role of the suspended Police Superintendent Ajay Markandayya, who is puzzling through a grim investigation of children’s disappearances. Vijay Kartikeyaa directs the film with Ajaneesh Loknath providing the music, and the cast also includes Guru Somasundaram, Naveen Chandra, Vikranth, and Yogi Babu.
The hype around its OTT release is great, especially for the viewers who could not catch the movie in theaters. Although the producers and the streaming service have not made any official announcements yet, the audience is already putting together a countdown to the digital premiere in January.
